Bibi the bird loved singing. Every morning, she sang from the tallest tree. “La la la!” Coco the cat was sleeping under the tree. He opened one eye. “Too early,” said Coco. Bibi sang louder. “La la la la la!” Coco covered his ears with his paws. “Are you singing or shouting?” he asked. Bibi smiled. “Both.” Coco said, “Can you sing a quiet song?” Bibi nodded. She took a deep breath and whispered, “La.” Coco smiled. Then Bibi shouted, “LA!” Coco jumped into the air. “That was not quiet!” Bibi looked confused. “But the first part was quiet.” Soon the dog woke up. The cow woke up. The farmer woke up. Everyone came outside. Bibi said, “Good morning, everyone!” Coco sighed. “Thanks to you, it is now a very good, very loud morning.” Bibi bowed. “You are welcome.”
