Ducky woke up one morning and opened his mouth. “Peep!” Ducky jumped. “That is not my quack!” He tried again. “Peep peep!” “Oh no!” cried Ducky. “I lost my quack!” He looked under a rock. “No quack.” He looked behind a tree. “No quack.” He looked inside his shoe. Then he remembered he did not have shoes. A baby bird flew down. “Excuse me,” said the bird. “I think you have my peep.” Ducky said, “Really?” The baby bird opened his mouth. “Quack!” Ducky gasped. “You have my quack!” They both went to Doctor Owl. Doctor Owl looked serious. “Hmm,” he said. “You two have mixed your morning sounds.” “How do we fix it?” asked Ducky. Doctor Owl said, “Try again after breakfast.” They ate berries. Then Ducky said, “Quack!” The bird said, “Peep!” Doctor Owl smiled. “Breakfast is powerful.”
