Ellie the elephant was very hungry. “I need a big lunch,” she said. Milo the mouse brought her a sandwich. Ellie looked at it. “This sandwich is tiny.” Milo said, “It is not tiny. It is normal.” Ellie picked it up with her trunk. The sandwich was so small that it disappeared into her mouth in one second. Crunch! Ellie looked around. “Where is my lunch?” Milo said, “You just ate it.” Ellie looked shocked. “That was lunch? I thought it was a sandwich seed.” “A sandwich seed?” asked Milo. “Yes,” said Ellie. “You plant it, and a sandwich tree grows.” Milo laughed. “There is no sandwich tree.” Ellie took the plate outside and put it in the ground. “What are you doing?” asked Milo. “I am trying anyway,” said Ellie. The next morning, Milo put ten sandwiches on a small tree. Ellie shouted, “It worked!” Milo whispered, “Best joke ever.”
